Munuswamy was born in an artistic family of sculptors. He hails from Puducherry, India and has more than 40 yeasr experience as a sculptor. Due to his passion in sculptures, he discontinued his studies and started learning the art of sculpting from his parents. He owns a terracotta sculpture unit in Villianur. This allowed him to experiment with small and life sized sculptures. Recently he worked on a life sized terracotta sculpture of Sir APJ Abdul Kalam.
