Munuswamy was born in an artistic family of sculptors. He hails from Puducherry, India and has more than 40+ yeasr experience as a sculptor. Due to his passion in sculptures, he discontinued his studies and started learning the art of sculpting from his parents. He owns a terracotta sculpture unit in Villianur. This allowed him to experiment with small and life sized sculptures. Recently he worked on a life sized terracotta sculpture of Sir APJ Abdul Kalam. He conducts regular workshops for interested artisans. Till date he has trained more than 10,000+ students. Many of his sculptures are installed in various schools in Puducherry. He is a proud recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. His terracotta sculptures have been showcased in both national and international exhibitions.
