Maleonn, artist, was born in 1972, Shanghai, China. He entered Shanghai Huashan Art School when he was 12 years old. He then went to Fine Art College of Shanghai University, majored in Graphic design. By 1995, he has completed his art study of 11 years.After graduation, he went into the world of advertisement and became a director of commercial filming. During this period of his career, he has won golden award of the China International Advertising Festival twice.

Robert Zhao Renhui is an award winning artist from Shanghai. 5. Rong Rong and Inri - Beijing

RongRong (China) and Inri (Japan) husband and wife duo have been working together since 2000. Their works reflect the intimate world that they have created together, while pushing the boundaries of traditional black-and-white darkroom techniques. Their past critically acclaimed series of works, such as Mt. Fuji, In Nature, and Liulitun, focus on the beauty of the human body in nature and the urban environment. Immigrating from China to the Netherlands at a young age was a very interesting and significant event in my life. This substantial change, the leap from the East to the West, had an extensive impact on me, in which my daily routine has transformed into an uncertain and precarious existence. Due to this emigration experience, my will to tell stories has grown and I have learned to observe both East and West from a distance. I am as much an insider and an outsider, uprooted, unidentified and estranged from both sides. Photography is the medium in which I can express this feeling the best. By photographing places, people and objects that arouse alienated feelings within me, I am still able to maintain a balance. With each image, I move one step closer to understand my identity and the stories behind the world in which I live.

10. Yang Yongliang - Beijing

Born in 1980, Shanghai, China; Yang was trained as a pupil to traditional Chinese art since early childhood, later graduated from China Academy of Art in Shanghai in 2003, majored in Visual Communication. Yang exploits a connection between traditional art and the contemporary, implementing ancient oriental aesthetics and literati beliefs with modern language and digital techniques.
