Prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2018 winners revealed

The 2018 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year has received about 8000 entries from 60 countries around the world. From the overwhelming response 500 entries were selected from the initial pool. According to Caroline Kenyon, founder and director of the awards, said, “To reach the shortlist is an enormous achievement... The standard was exceptionally high and it was, at times, a painful process to choose between competing images.” Celebrating the best in food photography and film the Pink Lady photography award has something for every category of photographer. Starting from 2011 from when the award is initiated it has received over 40,000 images from around 60 countries which proves the success of the contest.

Bangladeshi Photographer Noor Ahmed Gelal Won the 2018 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year for his image titled 'Praying with Food'. The image depicts the moment a day long fast is broken at a Hindu temple in Dhaka. Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year was awarded to 'Spinning the Chardonnay' shot by Australian Photographer Victor Pugatschew. The annual ceremony held in Mall Galleries in London is a worldwide celebration of food photography and film.
