Sunny Art Prize is one of the most distinguished competitions for contemporary arts internationally. This art prize looks for the most talented artists from all over the world, both established and emerging ones, and brings their ground-breaking and innovative artworks to light. Artists who work with a wide range of media are recognized making the art prize a varied and stimulating global platform to engage with critical contemporary issues and topics.
The competition is open to everyone, regardless of location or preferred medium and theme. This year the competition plans on giving away prizes worth £6,000.

Eligibility
The Competition is open to all artists at least 18 years of age worldwide.
The artist must be the creator of the entries and must have the right to submit them for the Competition. If someone else is submitting on one’s behalf (e.g. an agent or a gallery), they must have the right and authorization from the creator to do so.
Instructions for submission
Entries that fall under the categories of sculpture, painting, drawing, original print, photography, ceramic, mixed media, installation, video art and/or moving image, digital art (including physical work which is computer generated, e.g. digital prints) can be submitted.
Two-dimensional entries must be a maximum of 120 x 120 cm (including frame where applicable and projected images, video and digital art installations). Three-dimensional entries must be at the size of 80 x 80 x 80 cm maximum.
Two-dimensional work must be framed.
One artist can submit a maximum of four entries.
All Entries must be original work that has been made within three years from the date of the submission deadline.
The artist must ensure that the entries will conform to all applicable health and safety standards and regulations.
The entries must be in good condition to withstand handling and display during the Exhibitions.
The artist will not be able to change once they have finally submitted their application for the Competition.
The artist must upload an image of the work when registering for the Competition online or if using the form.
It is compulsory to upload one image of the entire work (including all the parts of a diptych or triptych). Please note that the first round of judging is completed digitally. It is therefore important that the photographs uploaded are of a high quality and as clear as possible.
Photographs must be 2M in size maximum and must be in Jpeg. No other format will be accepted.
All work submitted must be available for sale.
Selection criteria
The Gallery will shortlist 30 artists to exhibit at the Gallery’s location in London.
The Gallery may shortlist fewer Entries than the number submitted during the application process.
From the shortlisted 30 artists, the Gallery will shortlist 10 artists who will exhibit Entries in the partners’ galleries. Three of these 10 shortlisted artists will be selected as the first three winners in final judging.
The Gallery may accept or decline any entry submitted for this competition at any time and at its own discretion. The gallery’s decision is final.

A one-month residency in China (either in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou)

Second Prize
£2,000 cash award
A group exhibition in London
A one-month residency in China, (either in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou)

Third Prize
A cash award of £1,000
