100 Human Resin Skulls Floods the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne

Sculpture: Ron Mueck is an australian sculptor who is well known for his hyper realistic sculptures. National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne have stashed atleast a 100 resin human skulls in one of their rooms which was created by Ron Mueck. Each of these human skulls are approximately three feet tall and are made of fiberglass and resin. Some of these human skulls measure atleast five metre in height. The sculpture is named as Mass and it was part of the inaugural ceremony of National Gallery of Victoria Triennial, which happened on December 15th 2017. Ron Mueck is one of the biggest contributors to the gallery and this exhibition is expected to continue till April 15, 2018. Sitting amidst a room full of paintings and antiques, this Mass sculpture brings forth the sombre reality.
