Wecare Photography Contest and Festival Open for entries till Jan 31st

WeCare Festival : Living to the end is an international festival which celebrates creative representations of life(through short films and Photographs). WeCare promotes knowledge about important issues at the end of life through research, training and other social actions. End of life is a strange feeling for many and it's often associated with suffering, WeCare Festival aims to change the views of the people by making it more meaningful till the end. The competition them is "End of Life" and photographers have to come up with a meaningful story from those kind of situations. The festival usually comprises of short films and photography, currently the submissions for short films are closed.

Submissions that reflect the end of life from the following perspective will be admitted:

• People with advanced illnesses
• Elderly people
• People with chronic illness or physical limitations
• Children or adolescents facing the end of their life or that of those around them
• Family members, friends and caregivers
• Healthcare professionals
• Other related themes

The entry is free and the festival will be held in March 2018 at Barcelona. The first prize winner will receive $480(400 euros). The photographs submitted should have a resolution of 300 dpi. They should be sent in JPG or TIFF format. The photographs should be sent via email to the WeCare Chair - Wecare@uic.es or submit them officially through their website.
