Lena Vargas Afanasieva is a freelance illustrator from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She grew up listening to magical russian fairy tales and dominican culture and even to date her character illustrations and digital art are influenced by both the cultures, since she is part russian and part dominican. She received her Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Graphic designs and worked as an Art Director in Young & Rubicam Damaris, DBG Havas Worldwide and Pages BBDO, which eventually gave her the necessary exposure and went on to win a bronze award in Cannes Festival. In 2015 she became a freelancer and concentrated on advertising and illustrations . She understood her passion was towards Digital illustrations and she has bagged several big clients in many foreign countries.
