Bred is a designer from Barcelona, living in San Francisco. From his childhood, he was fascinated by all kinds of paintings and loves to understand the stories behind them. The texture, colour combinations and the use of light in the paintings always amuses Bred. He chose four of his favourite paintings and recreated them into 3d models in his series called "Le Kunst". The project took 2 years for him to complete where he learned new techniques like organic modelling, shader creation and composition. In all his four paintings The Milkmaid, The Death of Marat, Girl with a Pearl Earring and Wandered above the sea of fog, all the objects were hand-modelled and the shaders were created from scratch. The Milkmaid, a sturdy maid at work is the best-known painting of Vermeer. The Death of Marat is found in the Royal Beaux-Arts Museum of Belgium, Brussels. The captivating young girl with a pearl earring is a painting by Vermeer. Friedrich's man gazing at vast territory personifies the power of 19th century Europeans. Here we share four paintings that are converted into 3d models by Bred for you to explore.
