Rookie VR Motion Graphics and 3D Animation Contest - entries 31 May 2018

3D Animation Contest : 'The Rookie' is an annual contest which is currently accepting entries for 3D, animation, virtual reality, motion graphics, games and film. The contest is sponsored by Autodesk and it serves as a platform for agencies to recruit the best candidates for the animation industry. It's a global contest and participants aged 18+ can take part by submitting their entries. The rookie is more like a mentor program, where knowledge is shared and the winners get internships from industry best companies. The winners can walk away with sponsor prizes, studio internships, scholarships and many more. If you have a passion for creative media, here is your opportunity to dream big.

According to Rookies,"For students, The Rookies offers them a “stamp of approval” as they transition from school to production, enabling them to have their work seen, graded and commented on by industry heavyweights. As well as find out where they stack up against their peers. For studios and recruiters, The Rookies is the place to find outstanding emerging talent. The end goal? Launch young creatives into careers. The Rookies is essentially becoming a recruitment tool for studios – a talent agency, if you will – that independently reviews digital artist’s skills and connects them with studios who need great talent.
To date they have helped place 89 students in jobs across Asia, Canada, Europe, Oceania and the US. The students they have helped have gone on to work on films (such as Wonder Woman, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Mummy, Iron Man, Captain America and The Avengers) and AAA level games (such as Hellblade, Far Cry and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor)."

Important Dates to Remember:

Deadline for Submission : 31st May 2018
Finalists Selection/Announcement: 21st June 2018
Winners Announcement: 7th July 2018

All entries should be in english and it should be student version entries. The participants should have been enrolled in art school(online, certified university, regualr school) between January 2017 - May 2018, only those entries will be accepted. No projects which were done for freelance or professional entries will be accepted.
