Magnum photography awards 2017 calls for entries - May 16 2017

Photography contest : The legendary photography agency magnum photos in association with lensculture has called for entries for the second annual magnum photography awards. The contest is open to all photographers - professionals, emerging new talents, students and passionate amateurs. International jury will choose 12 winners, 8 juror's picks ad 20 finalists. Awards will be given in six categories: Documentary, Street, Portrait, Fine Art, Photojournalism and Open. BBC culture is the official media partner who will share submissions throughout the contest to their global audience of 3.5 million and publish a series of features on selected winners. In addition, all the Winners, Finalists and Jurors' Picks will be digitally exhibited at the Photographers’ Gallery in London.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST DEADLINE : Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Entry fees :

$20 USD for 1 single photo and $10 for each additional photo
$50 USD for 5 single photos reviewed as 5 separate entries
$60 USD for a related series of 10 photos reviewed as one entry

Prizes :

• Series Awards: $3,000 for each winning Series in the following categories: Documentary, Portrait, Street, Photojournalism, Fine Art and Open.
• Single Image Awards: $1,500 for each winning Single Image in the following categories: Documentary, Portrait, Street, Photojournalism, Fine Art and Open.
• Jurors’ Picks:Each Juror will personally select one photographer to be awarded this special distinction.
