'Beside You' - A beautiful surreal oil & acrylic paintings exhibition set up by Jolene Lai. She is a Los Angeles based artist who loves to explore surreal paintings through vibrant oils. She draws inspiration from Chinese Folklore, fairytales and others to create beautiful surreal art which is definitely not for the faint-hearted. She focuses on a scene, adds a twist to it by creating surreal elements, which is quite an interesting way to imagine and recreate on canvas. In one of the scenes, you can see a little girl running and if you look behind her you can see giant tentacles chasing her. In another scene you can see a woman in the kitchen, but her head is a giant teapot. Interesting scenarios with some bold surreal subjects. Beside You is a solo exhibition by Jolene Lai which was exhibited in US on Feb 4th 2017.
