Lighting Design : Tom Dixon is a British designer who was born on 21st May 1959 in Tunisia. He is a self taught designer, who loved to weld from a young age. He used to build furniture from salvaged materials, before joining Italian furniture giant Cappellini. He was quite popular for his 'S' shaped furniture. By 1990, he was a successful household name in Britain. He is currently the Creative Director of the brand 'Tom Dixon' specialising in Lighting, Furniture and Accessories. According to wikipedia,"His works have been acquired by museums across the globe, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of Modern Art New York and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris".
