Gioannin is a 6 year old child who lives in Italy at the beginning of the 1900. He dreams of his strong and wonderful father he never knew, missed at sea and never returned. He will discover that a dream is not worth what real life can naturally give, despite its difficulties and disappointments. Gioannin is a kid, he doesn’t know the meaning of the word death. And if his father left and never returned, then it means that he must have stopped somewhere on an island, and with his extraordinary ability he must now be the king.

M-Net commissioned Shy the Sun to create two enchanting and visually exciting pieces in stereoscopic for the M-Net ‘Believe’ Campaign. Both stories are aimed at reminding us of the magic that is out there, even in the strangest of places. As with the Bakers Biscuit and Ribena commercials, we were able to indulge in the world of sculptural miniatures.

Keas Goes to Work

This stop motion animation was created by LaunchSquad for Keas: an online wellness program that inspired us to try something different. Paper stop motion animation. LaunchSquad Video partnered with illustrator Devon Kelley–Yurdin who created each and every asset by hand. From tiny sprinkles on a paper doughnut to miniature office supplies, no detail was spared. Then, roughly 1000 photographs were taken and composited to bring the animation to life.

Doritos stands for sharing, good times, having a laugh, irreverence, big and bold flavours packed with crunch. Themed dress-up parties are very popular in the UK and I decided to take that angle and bring each of the flavours to life. Just adding a couple of props and keeping the characters simple.
