Finishing a 2 year sketch book - Paul Alexander Thornton

I've finally finished a sketchbook that I've been working on for 2 years. Every page is hand drawn and I also use a lot of cut-outs to show the pages behind as well as bleeding ink through from the back of the page. As well as showing you a bit about the book itself this film also shows the process of the last pages (85 & 86) being drawn. Which as it happens uses all the previously mentioned techniques of cutting out a window from page 85 to 86 and bleeding ink through from the back of the last page to show a faded pinstripe to set off the image of a skull. The drawing made in the video was made with red felt-tip pen, black ballpoint pen and a green permanent marker. Art, film and soundtrack by Paul Alexander Thornton.
