Derwent Art contest - Submit your Pencil Drawings by May 8th 2018

Art Contest : The Fourth Derwent Art Prize is open to artists and entries can be submitted till May 8th 2018. Derwent is a world famous pencil manufacturer and they want to encourage young and professional artists by conducting this contest. The artworks should be created with pencils (inclusive of graphite, charcoal, water-soluble, pastel or color pencils) and the contest is open to both British and International artists. Both 2D and 3D pencil works can be submitted and the artworks should have been completed in the last 3 years. Artists can submit upto 6 entries which pencil as the medium and it should not be more than 182 cms. There is no limit to the minimum size.

Entry Fee of 20 USD(15 GBP) for the first art and additional 6.50 USD for other entries. The contest is open to all international artists above the age of 18.

Prize:

• First Prize: $8264 (6,000 GBP)
• Second Prize: $4,820 (3,500 GBP)
• Third Prize: $1377 (1,000 GBP)
• People's Choice Award (Exhibition): $1033 (750 GBP)
• Young Artist Award (For artists under 25 years): $688 (500 GBP)
• Coloured Pencil Award for Excellence: $688 (500 GBP)

The selected artworks will be available for private viewing in Central London from 18th – 23rd September 2018. and the awards ceremony will be held on 18th September 2018. The selected works should be available for display till 31st January 2019.
