Once the bride and the groom sit on a jute mat, the groom family gives a golden chain with a leaf pendant(thaali). Once the thali is worn by the bride, three rounds around the para are taken, which symbolizes the end of the marriage. After the wedding, a grand feast will be served to the guests.
